Party members recieve a special newspaper called the "Pravda". Komosol members likewise, recieve a paper called the "Komosol Pravda". Most people recieve a common newspaper, called the "Prolitarian Post" and most military soldiers get the "Red Star". There are also numerous magazines.

EXECUTIVE BRANCH
Head of State and Government: Comrade Ilya Lekov, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Tharra, Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet, Chairman of the Defense Council
Council of Ministers: 51 ministers appointed by the Premier (who himself is appointed by the Presidium); the top few ministers form the council's presidium. There are also 13 deputy chairmen. Largely controlled by the Party Secretariat. Below it exist the numerous Ministries.
LEGESLATIVE BRANCH
Presidium of the Supreme Soviet: Legeslative board elected by the Supreme Soviet every ten years. Largely controlled by the Party Politburo.
Supreme Soviet: Highest legeslative body; there are two equal chambers of 800 members each: the "Soviet of the Union" (appointed by the Politburo) and the "Soviet of the Nation" (appointed by the Buros of each Oblast, 25 delagates each). Largely controlled by the Party Central Committee.
JUDICIAL BRANCH
Supreme Court: Appointed by the Presidium from Politburo approved candidates. 1 Chief Justice, 6 Justices, the Procurator General's Deputy, and a KGB deputy.
Procuracy: The nation's prosecuting system, which consits of various departments and offices led by the Procurator General and his appointed procurators.
THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF THARRA
The Communist Party of Tharra (CPT) is the only legal political party in the nation, and it has basic unlimited authority. 6% of the population belong to the organization. The highest ranking elite are called the "nomenklatura" while the rest are referd to as "outer party members".
To join the Party, one must have a basic knowlege of Marxism-Leninism, be over 18 years of age, University accepted, and be recomended by three Party members and one Komosol member. If these requirments are met, than the person in question may be granted Candidate (non voting) Party member status by their local PPO, if their credentials are found to be satisfactory. After one year of serving as a candidate member, the PPO secretary will go over the Party members credentials. They will then take a Test of Application. Those that pass will become Party members, those that do not will loose candidate status.
The Party is thus the nation's controlling force. It is organized along the lines of democratic centralism, where lower bodies elect higher bodies to carry out their duties. In practice, the Party has many institutions to parody and control corresponding government bodies, dictating their tasks to be rubberstamped. This, along with the fact that key government positions are given to Party members and subject to nomenklatura authority, gives the Party absolute control of the State, and its General Secretary supreme leadership.
The Party is a vast beaurocracy, with lower bodies carrying out the duties of higher ones.

Economic Overview: The Tharran economy is an all-consuming communist powerhouse, that brings in trillions of roubles. It is also mainly industrial thanks to the central government planning, mainly the Five Year Plan.

OTHER IMPORTANT FACTS
Education: The PRT prides itself in educating its youth. Literacy is extremely important to the Party; and by law, all education is run by the state, not to mention free. Schools focus mainly on reading, writing, mathamatics, and science. Children are also indocrinated and bombarded with propoganda from a young age, and all textbooks must past strict cenership guildlines.
Education is compulsory from grades 1 to 10, though both pre school and graduating secondary school are strongly encouraged. Only a select few take university exams, and end up going on to higher education. The rest end up, usually in trade schools.
The Komosol, Young Revolutionaries, and Pioneers are all mandatory youth leagues for students to belong to, by law.
Science/Technology: The Tharran government and CPPRT have made great strides in both these sectors. Scientists are mostly Party members, and highly paid.
Tharra even has a nuclear and space program.
The Arts: All painting, writing, plays, and TV programs must conform to strict KGB and Party regulations, and glorify the state through "Socialist Realism". To do anything else is a political crime.
